Touchtyping for a teenager

Hi, can anyone advise on the best touch typing learning option for a teenager. School suggested BBC Dancemat which is ridiculously childish for a 13 year old. He wants an adult type option. Don’t mind paying but do want simple easy to do on laptop (we do have a mouse), it is Windows

I do not have a very serious answer, but I can very much recommend Typing of the Dead. Really gets you knowing where the keys are!

Any of the adult touch typing courses are likely to be successful. but probably have to be understood as practical exercises. We tried a lot but Mavis Bacon was the most purposeful. But dull.

My nephew and niece, educated in Belgium, had compulsory touch typing in year 9, and had to keep going until they passed it. But got a free period when they did.

Online games? Seriously.

My 13 year old is an incredibly fast touch typist (he has a blank keyboard), and it’s all from playing games online with chats. I mean, take an online course too, but do look at gaming.
