Notre Dame - Cobham

Would really like some views on Notre Dame in Cobham; in particular the senior school, 11+.

Am considering it, for my dd next year. I know it isn't as academic as some of the other indie schools in the surrounding area, but the pastoral care looks very good.
The last comments on here about it were from 6 years ago and since then they have had a new head in the Senior school.

My daughter just started towards end of prep school and moving up to seniors next year. We love it, it is a fantastic school, and she is really happy there. Academics are all good, they have it at exactly the right level for her, and a lovely full range of abilities there too. Obviously no experience of seniors yet but I have friends with daughters there who are very happy and parents delighted too.

Hi. Would love advice on ND seniors too. my DD has been offered a place (with a scholarship!) for sept 2019. We would be putting her on the bus from Putney (we live north of Putney). Do many girls travel from Putney? Does it make a difference if you are not catholic?
We love everything about the school but feel we may live too far out and might limit our DDs friendships.

There are lots of girls coming from London on the bus, over half my daughters current class! You don’t have to worry about that at all. At senior level people do come from further - I have an older daughter elsewhere and people come from all over the place. I don’t know any girls that are catholic. Must be some but don’t think it’s even a majority. Current year six are a lovely year too.

Thank you Robinredrun. Good to know that so many are coming from the London direction and even better that the current Y6 are lovely. My DD has always had a lovely time at ND in open days, challenge day and even the assessment day. They even managed to make that fun!!
