Best prep for entry into Squirrels (Wimbledon Common Prep)

Hi there- I wanted to get a sense for the best nurseries / montessori schools that prepare boys for entry into Squirrels (Wimbledon Common Prep). We are very focused on that school as it is close to our home and has a great conversion rate for KCS which is our aspirational school from 7+. Any other advice (apart from nurseries) that help with entry into Squirrels will be very useful too. Thanks very much!

SherryM, did you get any thoughts outside of mumsnet?

My friend’s little one went to a nursery in Mitcham, which was rated Outstanding. Otherwise they had no specific arrangements or requirements in place, no tutors, no special preparations. I feel a lot depends on the child himself.

Wimbledon Village Montessori School. Went through a management change a few years ago and I'd consider it a hidden gem. We found it through word of mouth recommendations and our elder son went there and got into Squirrels.

Our younger one will also go there next year as we're really pleased with the staff, the teachers and the general ethos. Very focussed on getting all their kids into the top pre-prep schools around the area and the head actually fights on behalf of her kids, if they don't get into the top choice school.
