Looking for Independent school in Northampton Area

Hi All, I am new to Northampton, and lives in Pineham village, near Sixfields. My daughter starts Reception next september. And looking for advise on Independent schools near by. Does any of you have children on Quinton House school, or any other good schools around. It would be good to hear some parental opinion. Is it better to look for schools having primary and secondary on the same campus. Any advise much appreciated.

Northampton High School for girls and Wellingborough both go straight through to 18 and definitely worth a look!

Pitsford School also goes straight through to 18 and is well worth a look, and seconding checking out Northampton High.

Also came on to say Wellingborough School

Quinton House does not have a great reputation locally. All those schools mentioned above are good although Northampton School for Girls and Wellingborough would have the edge academically and facilities wise over Pitsford. Spratton (to the north of Northampton) is an excellent prep school (to yr8).

Quinton currently in a dispute with a teacher they say is dodgy but who has avoided being barred. He accuses the school of dodgy practices.

I have two children at Pitsford. Both have gone through the Juniors and eldest is now in seniors. Extremely nurturing environment with both children supported to achieve their best. Very pleased with academic standards and extra curricular opportunities.
