Can anyone advise if this would be a disaster for DD14 (March Birthday) education wise? Are we best waiting?

If you mean, she is currently 14 and will be 15 in March, this would be year 10. First or second year of Key Stage 4 (depending on how the school organises itself), definitely already into the GCSE syllabus. Really not a good time to be looking for a mid-year place. The next sensible time to move would be after her cohort has taken GCSEs at the end of year 11 - May / June 2020 - but bearing in mind that applications for school sixthforms usually have a deadline of somewhere between December and February of year 11. (Sixth form colleges tend to be more flexible).

Thank you. That’s what I thought! She wants to move now but I thought holding off is in her best interests.
