Perse School Cambridge

Hi,
I’m considering sending my son to Perse school to start yr 7. I have heard some reports that it is a very academic school. Any feedback would be appreciated.

This always puzzles me that people are sent to local boards for some schools but others can merrily be on main boards.

My DS is at The Persee. He is in yr 12 ans joined in yr 9. The results will show that indeed The Perse is a very high perfornibg school and is selective. However, it is far from the hothouse some people make it out to be (mainly people who do not have kids there). It also has really good sports opportunities at elite and ALL levels, great music and drama offerings and all sorts of extra curricular. They offer great pastoral care. The staff seem genuinely interested in and know the pupils. Please feel free to ask any questions or pm.

Great school. Polite children, lovely staff, super facilities. As a visiting parent from a nearby school it all looks and feels good!
