We are having a graduation ceremony for the pre-school, and I wondered if anyone had a template for a mortar board and gown? Thanks...

I wouldn't bother! Just let them wear their own stuff, or fancy dress, or something. This sort of thing means NOTHING to the kids involved, they've never seen adult graduations. I'd hate to see pre-schoolers in this get up.

Do you have to do it???? I'm sorry for offending you if it was your idea! But I really feel strongly about it. Do people really want this done?

actually they did it at dd1 old nursery and she has just been telling me about it in detail 2 years later, so although I was doubtful at the time it made an impression as an occasion.
and many of these kids will have seen adult graduations - its rather close to a uni!
