Hi, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good secondary schools in Bristol (other than Redland Green as we can’t afford the catchment area!) we currently live in Horfield.

Thanks

How old are your dcs now OP? There are plans for some new secondary schools in future e.g. a second secondary school linked to Bristol cathedral choir school (BCCS) academy trust in North Bristol and another new school near to Temple Meads. So there may be additional options in a few years time.
Current options would be:
BCCS lottery entry co-ed
Colston's Girls School CGS on Cheltenham road (lottery entry girls only)
Bristol Free school
Fairfield school
Orchard school (this may be your catchment school)

If you are church going:
St Mary Redcliffe and Temple (C of E) or St Bedes (Catholic). both have faith entry criteria.
These are the ones in Bristol LEA area - there may be an option near Filton in South Glos as well.
In Bristol you can list 3 preferences.
