Holiday during term time.

Couldn't really find which thread to put this under but hoping someone can help. One of the Mums at my ds school was saying that you can only get a fine after the 3rd day away from school for unauthorised absence? Does anyone know if this is true or do you get a fine regardless of the amount of time off?

It depends on the LA. They will have a Code of Conduct which sets out the circumstances under which a fine can be issued. Most LAs will not fine for a single absence if attendance is otherwise good.
