Confused by differing comments to dd from 2 different teachers today.

Today my dd 13 yrs was taken to a room after assembly and told that she with others have the potential to be head girl/boy in the future. Brilliant stuff.

But at lunch time seh was taken by another teacher with two of her friends and told that she should get out of the school because she is a waste of space and has no potential just because she was sat on a bench that plenty of other children have sat on. He also said that how did they expect him to work when all thier doing is making a noise and talking - It was lunch time mind you so if their nto allowed to talk at lunch time then when else are they going to do it.

Would you ring school and find out whats going on?

I'd ring school and demand teacher 2 be strung up tbh...

SOunds like teacher2 was having a majorly bad day and lost it for a moment and your DD was unlucky enough to be the closest kid at the time.

I'd leave it to be honest - put it down to male PMT and tell your dd to take a deep breath and rise above it. But teachers have nervous breakdowns too. He sounds like he's having trouble and if that's the case I am sure his colleagues will be well aware of the fact.

well it was her head of year that told her she was head girl material which i;m really prooud of given the crap time that we have had as a family recently and many teenagers would have rebelled and gone the other way.

also recently she has been coming home and saying that lots of teachers are pleased with the effort she's been putting in and how much she has improved recently.

It sounds like you have a teenager to be really proud of

scotrgrrl I know I do, she drives me insane most of the time, but she can obviously pull out the stops when she needs to.

Just think how proud you'll be when she's head girl!

If you read my reprts you would have thought it was two different people. Some teachers I got on with and di well, other teachers didn't get the best out of me and were not as impressed with me. So tell her to rise above it and try her best at everything she does regardless of idiot teachers.
