My dd1 (age 5) wants to learn Italian. She knows a few words (dad half Italian). I haven't been able to find any classes. We live in North London

Any ideas much appreciated

A woman who cut ds's hair once was half italian and lived in north london and sent her kids to italian lessons from the age of 5, so they definitely exist. I think she said something about the italian embassy subsidizing the lessons if you or your children are italian citizens. Anyway, even if you are not, contact the italian embassy as I'm sure they will have names of places for you.

Calpol, I send my son (age 9 ) to spanish classes on Saturday morning at Hendon School. They also teach Italian, along with other languages. It is a service provided by Barnet council and the classes are free! Average number per class about 12. I think they can start at either age 5 or 7 either way it may be worth checking out as classes resume next Sat 18th Sept.
good luck
