Before I phone the school and complain, do you think this is a bit ridiculous?

I'd complain - wrong of them not to have called and told you.

Ladymuck · 14/05/2007 15:30

Personally I would phone the school and see what has happened (making it clear that you were surprised). It is not unheard of for notes to go missing etc. If it was a short notice cancellation though then I would complain.

I'd complain!

Mumpbump · 14/05/2007 15:31

Yes, but before you do so, I would check with your dd that it wasn't cancelled last week or something so that she knew it wasn't on.

chopchopbusybusy · 14/05/2007 15:31

Is it possible that they gave your DD a letter to bring home in her book bag and she's forgotten to give it to you? I would wait to hear the details from your Mum and DD before complaining.

LIZS · 14/05/2007 15:31

I guess it depends on why and when it was cancelled but presumably she won't be the only one left - hence the late call possibly - in which case could noone have supervised them until 4 ?
