Have you ever been interested in your local schools performance, or wanted to see which school might best support your child’s individual needs? Could you help us with some research?
The Department for Education are currently running a Discovery project to better understand the needs of users who utilise their statistics, and to identify options as to how they might modernise the circulation of their products.
As part of that Discovery project, we (Hive IT on behalf of the DfE) are keen to speak to a range of parents who may have used, or may consider using, statistical data generated by the DfE, whether that be directly from the DfE, or via other sources (think the BBC ‘compare your school's’ tools).
We’d like to explore and understand how Parents use or rely on the DfE’s published statistics, any issues they come across and how we could improve their experience of using the DfE statistics so that in the future we can better service their needs.
We’re very aware that your time is extremely valuable, but if this is something that you would be interested in supporting us on there are a number of ways you could help:
- We can give you a call to chat through some key points we’d like to research, this would take no more than an hour of your time (incentives given)
- A visit to our Sheffield or Darlington offices for a 45 minute chat (incentives given)
- Complete an online survey for us here: goo.gl/forms/p7YytD08oOX3B9ZA3 (information on data protection is provided within the survey)
If you would like more information, or you would like to support our research, then we’d really appreciate you responding to this post, or giving myself (Liz Hnat Hive IT Project Manager) an email on [email protected]. From there we can discuss in more detail any arrangements and details about a meeting/call with you.
Thanks for taking the time to read!
