Advice for being a medical doctor

I would like to know what kinds of intership programmes do I have to apply for if I am planning to apply for medicine? Any recommendations?

Any advice on how it is like to become a medical student and how you should set your heart on it?

Thank you very much.

Are you in UK? A level/higher requirements easy to find on uni websites as a start point, it's very competitive, are you applying as a mature student? Volunteering in a nursing home over a long spell is generally looked on better than a week in a GP surgery or hospital (although nothing to stop you doing that too) I'd suggest reading Adam Kay's This is going to hurt, bad pharma is good too, and have a really good idea what you're getting into.

This website would be a good place to start:
