I worked an extra 'supply' morning at my school last month (I normally teach 2 days a week) and I just wondered what is the going rate for one morning!? (Our admin officer is truely scary so I'm not keen on asking her this information!) Thanks all.

I used to get about £80 a day after tax. that was 2 years ago. Not sure if that's any help!

depends where you are on the scale. It's your scale point divided by £195 and then divided by 6 for your hourly rate

noonar · 09/05/2007 19:43

hi there, doesnt it depend on experience/ where on the pay scale you are?

noonar · 09/05/2007 19:44

xpost , pixie.

The 195 is working days not £££s!

Hi. Thanks for your responses. I'm at the top of the main payscale (haven't yet gone for the threshold top-up).

otherwise call up the lea and ask to talk to person in charge of teachers salaries/payslips etc etc
they are a font of all knowledge - often the admin in the office don't know all the details
