Anyone know anything about this school?
Moving to the area and don’t know anything about schools. Visited the area recently and told the head here is leaving but only been there a year?
Anyone shed any light on this?

Apparently the head wanted to be back in a boarding school, which this is not, so he’s moving on. They are due to announce the new head from September very soon. We are currently considering schools and daneshill is the front runner.

Just been sold to local landowners who will put more money into it. Old owners were ‘tricky’ which may explain head turnover! New deputy is already in place (and seems v good) and new head is in place to start in Sept.

Teachers are lovely and get good results and the overall ‘feel’ of the school is kind and really rather sweet.

Daneshill has been an exceptional school for my son and daughter. It had a challenging 18 months following the sad and unexpected death of the Head / proprietor. The Wellington Estate purchased the school early 2018, as the school was landlocked by wellington land it has allowed the school to expand its footprint and new sports facilities are in the process of being built. The estate are committed to the long term investment of the school. I can’t say enough good things about the Senior Leadership team, headed by Jim Massey who have a fostered a real sense of collaboration between parents, children and teachers. The children are bright and happy, and punch well above the weight of a small school academically and in sports. The parents are supportive, diverse and unpretentious. I believe the school is completely full which is a testament to the happy and nurturing environment. I would strongly recommend a visit if you are looking at schools in the area.
