Newspaper for 7 year old

Please could I have your recommendations for a newspaper suitable for a 7 year old (reading level more like a 9 year old)?

First News and a The Week junior.

The week junior is excellent. Comes through the door every Friday for a subscription.

Thank you. Am looking at both recommendations but leaning towards The Week Junior at the moment.

Aquila is a good monthly magazine too.

The week junior. The kids are always telling me interesting facts from it. I’ve heard really good things about Aquila too though.

Aquila is great but I wouldn’t call it a newspaper. More of a fact based educational magazine with very varied subject content.

I'd second First News

Definitely The Week Junior. First News is aimed at younger reading age.

I dislike first news - too much pop culture, pop music, movie franchise, X factor news etc. But depends on what your view on this stuff is - I didn’t want my 7 year old being focussed into this stuff but I know that I am a bit stuffy

I chose First News for DS, and pick it up from the supermarket. DS (who is a keen reader) was 6 at the time. He reads well, but I wanted the subject matter to be suitable for his age. I looked at both covers, and First News seemed to be the better fit. It covered the same news, but in a slightly gentler way.

The Week is better then First News. I get The Week for my 7yo.
