Essex - Prep Schools

Hi, can anyone recommend any prep schools in Essex preferably in or around Chelmsford. It would be for our DD who is 3 and bright and keen to learn. We'd like an environment where that is nurtured. Thanks

Look at widford lodge. St Anne's and St Cedds. All three have very good reputations. Only visiting them will allow you to know which one you prefer. Be warned though, in Essex, most places are gone for 3+ by the time children are 12 months old unless there is an assessment aged 2. A significant number of places are allocated before the child is born which is mainly due to chelmsford being a grammar school area so investment by parents tends to be in private primary. I would add that I have not had a child go through the private schools in chelmsford but I have in Essex. Hope that helps, good luck in your search.

Thanks Pradaqueen. We're planning to visit Widford Lodge, St Cedds and St Anne's. It's be great if anyone has any feedback on them.
