Any tips for making a complaint?

Has anyone made a complaint about their kids school? Any advice on how to go about it?

Follow the complaints policy, which should be available on the school's website.

Follow the procedure. Be clear and factual. Detail times and places or witnesses as appropriate. Don't make personal or unsubstantiated allegations.

State clearly what you would like the outcome to be.

In writing - talk can and often will be fobbed off.

Clear, fact-based, action-oriented, constructive - what do you want to happen?

Definitely be factual and avoid any personal remarks.
