Hello,
Please I would appreciate all the advice I can get.

Our daughter is 8months and we are looking for nurseries in Beckenham/Chislehurst area to start in September this year. Please does anyone know any good recommendations

Also, we’ve been looking into preparatory schools and preschools - which preparatory schools are very good? Are preparatory schools worth it?

Does anyone know any outstanding state owned preschools/primary schools - I’m not sure if we need to get on the waiting list for these?

Thanks

Hi,

you may have more luck at the local MN board. There are also local FB groups you can join.

You don't need to go on any state school waiting list, they do not exist,, you have to apply between September and January before your DD turns 5. I would assume pre-schools have waiting list as some take them from 2 years on, so look up the ones in your area and check their admission. In Bromley council you don't have a formal admission to pre school, everybody does their own.

My daugther attended the pre school class at her nursery, we didn't move her as most pre schools only cover term time, so you have to cover the holidays and often only do 9-3 or 9-12 and 12-3 depending on what places they offer. If you look for childcare take this into account.
