Our local paper released school rankings for the school in county my dc primary school has dropped nearly 2000 places (out of 13000) can I ask them for an explanation of why? I just want to see what's going on really the breakdown does not fully explain where the problem for the decline is.
Am I 'allowed' to do this?!

Have you checked the school performance measures on the government website?
You can see where the school sits in terms of the borough and other local schools. This will have the pass rates for SATs etc.

www.gov.uk/school-performance-tables

But if you want clarification on the school performance you should be able to ask the head or any senior member of staff.

I agree with the posters on your other thread.

It is a legal requirement that schools publish performance information on their website which may be worth looking at. Reasons for a drop can be down to things like a particular class having a high number of children with additional needs.
