Hi
I am looking for some book recommendations for my son who loves to read and is costing me a fortune. I bought him a kindle for Xmas so its a little easier now as I can download some free books. However I am looking for something to catch his attention but which will not be too old for him.

To give an idea of what he likes he has read and enjoyed the following series:
Cherubs
Hendersons boys
Harry Potter
Stoneheart
Gone
Hunger Games
The five realms

He is now starting to ask for more adult books but I am trying to find more young adult and teenage fiction.
Thanks.

I don't particularly have any other suggestions but...hunger games for a ten year old? Really?!? Have you read them op?

Hi
Thanks all for the continuing recommendations. He has read many of the ones suggested but there are plenty that he hasn't so I will continue to check them out on amazon.

Yes I figured out that I can't download library books to kindle which is a shame as they seem to have a good choice.

As for the hunger games for a 10 year old- yes I was unsure of this. No I haven't read the books but I have seen the films and agree they are violent. However I have seen over the last few years through volunteering with year 6 in School that many 10-11 year olds do read these books and he does have a tendency to prefer more teenage fiction. There are also many other books which he has read which contain violence and adult themes such as the cherubs and gone series which I have read. Whilst he is a bright and mature child who seems to cope well with these books this is exactly why I'm looking for recommendations.

I am finding it increasing difficult to restrict what he and his brother are exposed to as many of their friends are allowed Xbox games such as COD and if anyone has found a good way to restrict YouTube content successfully without banning it completely then I would love to know how you did it.
