My beasts are pretty savage, but thought I would try them on some piano lessons, before we sign up to local piano school I wondered if anyone could recommend a good online piano tutorial for beginners? There must be some fun youtube lessons or ipad apps for kids? We have a good electronic keyboard (size and key feel of a piano). One kid is new to music, keen just to introduce him to the basics before he starts guitar lessons soon, the other has been learning trumpet for a few years so can read a bit of music etc. I played piano as a kid, can help with music reading, etc just wanted something fun we could follow and tool around with before deciding to commit to lessons. Also thought it might prompt me to take up lessons again!
Also looking for typing program recommendations - something fun to help them learn to touch type. Happy with an app or program that requires payment, just looking for a good one - seems to be v basic ones and then more advanced, but finding it hard to find something good in between that will advance them, be fun etc.
Thought I would tap MN knowledge before I spend hours more trawling unsuccessfully...
