Hi, I'm considering Breurn Abbey for DS1. I've seen a few older threads with helpful info but looking for any recent feedbackHi This is a really useful thread. I'm considering Breurn for DS1. Would be so helpful to hear from someone whose son haa been through and on to independent senior school on the other side. How are they faring with the change of school anc GCSEs? Also any feedback on how Breurn manage boys who struggle a bit on the social front?
Many thanks in advance

I am a current parent. Can't speak to how things afterwards but happy to PM about the school

Ditto, OP - ano current Bruern parent here if u want any more info? I haven't actually asked HM about how my son might get on in a future senior school, am just grateful to have found a prep that will enable his getting into a decent secondary. Pretty bloody good school, tho, IMHO.

After the meeting with head (having sent in Ed Psych report), morning - encompassing a bit of reading, maths, writing. They also look at social skills and playing with other children. Second stage is a day there and over night (if boarding). I get the impression that they want to be absolutely sure that they can support and it is right for your child.

Sorry missed out a couple of things - a bit of spelling and they also talk to the child about their hobbies and what they like doing.
