We are quite keen to put our DS in QEGS Wakefield, however we are a bit concerned as to how he is going to perform on his assessment day.He will be starting Year 3 in September so we are trying to find out how difficult is the Year 3 entrance. He goes to a state school now and he has got a EHC plan since he started Reception. He doesn’t fall under the Autistic Spectrum but he has got some developmental delays.Unsure if we are taking the right decision, however we feel that he will do better in a small class size. Also trying to find out if an independent school will take a child who has got an EHC plan. Can anyone direct me to any link/website where I can view sample questions please. Thanks in advance.

If you look at the ISI inspection reports of QEGS and Silcoates neither have children with EHC but Silcoates has a number of children with SEN incl. dyslexia and dyspraxia.

A good place to post for help on indie schools and Sen would be in 'Sen children' on here

We have similar dc (not in your area) and some indie schools won't offer much support or will make you pay extra for any extra support needed. They can be unsupportive for Sen or brilliant - depends entirely on the school.

You could ask to meet with the senco.

Thank you for your messages. He had a taster day at Silcoates school and he did well and they are going to get in touch with us after they receive the EHC plan from his current school.
