Hope you don't mind me asking..

Just contemplating future plans and wondered how much work there is for supply teachers with cover supervisors and cuts on school funding etc.

So if you are a supply teacher, do you mind telling me roughly how much work you've had so far this year (since Sept)?

Also, don't expect anyone to give me their own details but how could I find out how much roughly a supply teacher earns per day?

Crossing fingers someone replies!!

It varies area to area. I think your best bet is to look on somewhere like Reed.co.uk or supply agency websites to get an idea

It also depends on the length of cover, if it's subject specific or just a general day's cover.

Where I live supply teachers get about £160-250 a day.
Not sure how much work they get.

Our school has started use supply cover supervisors rather than supply teachers.

Yes changer I know of lots of schools who have which is my concern.

Potentially my working days could change each week to fit in with DH days off and he works shifts. Hmmm, rethink maybe.
