Understanding childs review!

Hi, I've come to a problem- my child has brought home a review sheet and I can't seem to understand the grading system. Under "Current attainment" there are numbers for each subject he is taking e.g 1.0 ; E2.7 ; 4.3. Could someone explain me how they work? What are the boundaries, higher and lower grades? I cant seem to find the explanation online. He is currently in Year 8.
p.s we are new to UK grading system and schools and everything else :)
Thank you!

I would assume they are current "working at" levels for GCSE?
So it's grades 9-1
9 is highest and 1 is lowest
Best bet would be to contact the school and ask...

You need to talk to the school - there is no way we can say for sure what they are doing I’m afraid! There is no one standard tracking system all schools have to use.

You will have to ask your particular school I'm afraid - there is no 'standard' system. You would like to think they would put some explanation sheet in with the report. Smile
