SW Herts Consortium Test 2017

Hi There

We have the very confusing task of deciphering how our son has done in the SW Herts Consortium Test. We found out his test score is 212 this morning but I don't know how that sits in the grand scheme of things. I have checked the schools for the last three years and that has given me an idea. If anyone doesn't mind putting up their childs score it may help myself and others gauge what schools to go for.

Thanks a lot

The small sample you will get here (if anyone answers at all) is unlikely to help much. Look at the historical information. Ignore the scores for 2015 as they are not comparable due to a change in the tests. The lowest test scores for 2016 and 2017 are your best guide.

Go over to 11 plus forum where they give you lowest mark that got in each year going back.

All the schools in the SW Herts Consortium already publish that information going back to 2015. The test changed in 2016 and scores dropped significantly as a result so scores pre-2016 aren't really very helpful.

Mine took it in the pre-CEM days, so the score won't be comparable. Even if you found out a sample of this year's scores, you wouldn't know how representative that sample was.

For each school, find the cut-off score from March 2016 and March 2017 and take the average of these. That should give you some idea.

What school(s) are you hoping to apply to?

To give you a general idea of his chances:
QS: Extremely high
RS: Very high
WB: Low
PS: Very low

But it also depends on where you live.
