Bishops Stortford College

Would Bishops Stortford College Seniors work for an academic but not overly sporty boy? He is doing 13plus for St Edmunds and The Perse but the Perse seems to be hard to get into and the College is so convenient plus has great results.

Are they made to do team sports every afternoon or do they have choices in what activities they do. For instance my boy enjoys swimming so would be happy with that but would hate rugby 5 days a week. How often do they have to do the core sports they mention on the website?

Any advice welcome

I know lots of people there and no direct experience but I really doubt they need to do that much sport and certainly not rugby 5 days a week for all. There are plenty of children there who are not that sporty (even the case at Felsted which is more sporty overall) who seem happy. Perhaps you could just ask directly for specifics as to the amount of sport.

My much younger cousin went to Bishops Stortford College and wasn't very sporty and found that unless you were A or B team rugby you could chose to do other things instead.

My DS is at The Perse which you also mention. Pm if you have any questions about them.
