Failed A levels tutor/fast track recommendations

My DS has just failed his a-levels. Looking for a 'fast track' correspondence-type course. Looking at the following:

NCE
NCC
UK Open College

Anyone have any feedback on these? Any other fast track distance learning orgs you'd recommend?

Tearing my hair out! And thank you!!

TBH unless he's hugely motivated you're just wasting £££ and another year.

A job or Apprenticeship might be a better way forward until he's matured.

It depends what you mean by "fast-track", it isn't possible for anyone to retake A levels before May/June.
Are the A levels he failed Linear or Modular? If modular there are only very limited chances to retake old style A2s (next Summer may be the only possibility) so he will need to retake any modular ones asap.
Correspondence courses do require a great deal of motivation.
Are there any local A level in a year type courses e.g. at an FE college?

PS I would request copies of his marked papers back from the awarding bodies/ exam board(s) before making a decision.
I would also suggest that he has a part-time job and contributes towards any course fees.

Hi

Many thanks for the responses - great point about getting his previous papers back (been meaning to do so, but must push to get them).

He is showing huge motivation now (disappointment and embarrassment are motivators it seems). We have no FE college close by so it has to be distance learning.

Also love the suggestion about contributions to course fees!

Thanks so much again
