Can anyone give me an up to date view on Barrow Hills for a girl possibly moving into yr 3?

I have a friend who has children there. She said it is an under rated school which gets a high number of scholarships to senior school but does not have a hot house atmosphere.
Some years don't have as many girls - check the numbers if this may be a problem for you.
The new Head has been on post for a year and it has been very positive.
Her daughter has gone on to St Cats but was offered a place at GHS too .
Her son is currently at the school -is hoping to go to Westminster when he leaves.

Sorry - realised that is not very specific about girls - so not as useful as it could be.
Her dd liked it there, was very happy but , as always, it depends on the cohort you are in.

I had a colleague whose three kids went there.

Great for boys.

Good for girls with the caveat that lots disappear at Y7 to go to the girls' schools in Guildford like St Cats, Tormead etc so there are not many girls left in year 8 and 9. That may not bother you/your daughter(s) but worth bearing in mind.

Hello, I was just reading this and wondered if you chose Burrow Hills? If so, how are you finding it please? We are looking at schools now for our son starting reception next year. Thanks!
