Without doubt the hardest thing to encourage and help with is writing and spelling. Our Beauty is fab at reading, a wonderfully enthusiastic learner BUT when writing something goes astray. Verbal spelling amazing, written copying ok, free writing and spelling/construction is like looking at work that has dyslexia trates. Anger rages at the mention of spelling homework, frustration creates work which is difficult to unravel. How can we avoid this conflict homework pattern, how can we help get to the route of an 8yr olds anger at writing?
