Reception year

Hello!

My family is moving to the London area from the United States. Can anyone provide recommendations for private schools, Reception year? We will most likely live in Beaconsfield, Gerrard's Cross, Hampstead, or Harrow. ANY help or advice from knowledgeable Mum's is greatly appreciated!!

I don't know a whole lot about schools outside north London. When would your children start in Reception - if September 2017 then it's likely that most of the Hampstead prep schools will have their lists sorted.

It might be worth subscribing to the Good Schools Guide. In a while, some people who live round there will probably be along.

Can I suggest that you report your thread and ask Mumsnet to change the title to something like "Private schools (Reception year) recommendations please - Beaconsfield, Gerrard's Cross, Hampstead, or Harrow". You may get more people commenting that way.

Are you actually from the US or are you British? Do you have boys or girls and do you prefer single sex / co ed? Would you be interested in any of the International schools or are you particularly looking for a British prep (private) school. Sorry for all the questions but they are particularly relevant to prep schools in London.

If you were to move to Hampstead, this might be handy.
