Online CPD?

Does anyone have any experience of doing anything worthwhile by distance learning or online? It's almost impossible to get school to release staff for training and I wanted to learn a bit more about supporting dyslexic students (plus boost my cv a bit). Any recommendations? Everything that comes up on google looks like a fake college (maybe I'm too cynical these days).

I did a free course about ADHD online with the university of derby, you might find they do something.

Thanks niknac, I've just registered my interest for the next time that course runs and asked about some other bits they do. I really appreciate the reply.

The online course I did as a parent but there were lots of people involved in education who did it to help them in their jobs. I could do the modules as I had time and there were forums and videos. I found it to be good and as it's an established university it is reliable and not fake. Hope you find something suitable.

Yes there are lots of good courses on Futurelearn in various areas.
