Ardingly College - opinions and where to live...

We're thinking of moving out of town and considering Ardingly College for children aged 7&3. Does anyone have any recent experience of the school?
Also, being a born and bred townie, can anyone recommend good places nearby to love that have a bit going on? Shops, coffee shops, cinema, etc?

People travel to Ardingly from all over! I'm from Brighton and know plenty who go up from here- it isn't far. You're not from from Cuckfield although nice it's not particularly buzzy.
