I have just heard that this has closed and am curious to know if anyone knows why.

I know that numbers were low but they did a big rebrand and got a new uniform so that must be a blow for parents who have just forked out for a new uniform and also uncertainty for students doing GCSE and A Level courses especially.

I did wonder why numbers were so low, is it that they were in competition with the Stortford and Cambridge schools do you think?

Numbers were down, rebranding was probably a wasted effort and they should have told us parents and faculty they were struggling before announcing closure to the world. We could have helped! It's very sad. My kids are now heading to schools in Cambridge this fall.

Bengal, that is sad and very wrong of the school not to keep you informed. When we went to view the prep we found it soulless and put it fown to numbers being so low. Lots of the children told us they were not staying on for Seniors. I'm glad that you were able to find a school and hope you were helped. Speaking to parents in various preps in the area heads were really pushing the school on us including my eldest on us but the prep head was not prepared to support my youngest who has speech delay and was frankly quite antagonistic in her attitude which put us off.
