Speeches - can you recommend?

Hi, preparing students for speeches (part of new English GCSE) and want to show them some good speeches on the Internet. Have had a look at some TEDtalks but they do tend to be a bit Americanny and not really the style I would want my students to adopt IYSWIM. Can anyone post some links to great speeches? Ideally contemporary and that would appeal to 15 and 16 year olds and particularly boys?

They're all in Y10 I think. So very relevant.

If you had said to appeal to girls, I would have suggested Michelle Obama at a school in Tower Hamlets. I'll get my coat....

I use the Ashton K one in PHSE lessons. They listen to him saying hard work makes you 'lucky'. When I say it, they laugh.

Bizarrely I've found Princess Diana's brother's speech at her funeral works well and I'm no royalist/Diana fan.

It ticks lots of the persuasive writing boxes (rule of 3, repetition, use of pronouns (we, us vs I and my), annacdotes, emotive language etc).

Have to do a context lesson/exercise these days though!!

I've done a project recently on speeches and apart from the Charlie Chaplin one above, the Earl Spencer one and MLK, the kids came up with Malala at the UN, Meryl Stereo on Donald Trump, Emma Watson on feminism, the Steve Jobs "stay foolish" one, the Bruce Springsteen one about voting and the Neil Kinnock one about "I warn you not to grow old" etc.
