There's so few places that one can shamelessly boast about one's children, so I hope you all don't mind if I quote from my dd's reports. They brought them home today, and I'm at home alone with no-one to share my pride with. They brought tears to my eyes.
dd1 (age 7, year 2) "X is a delightful child. It has been a privilege to teach her this year. Her work across the curruculum is of the highest standard. X enjoys all aspects of school life, and makes the most of every opportunity offered to her. X is always eager and ready to help, and I can completely rely on her to carry out any task quietly, conscientiously and with a minimum of fuss. She works quietly and unobtrusively and can always be depended on to do her best. She is a courteous and happy child."
dd2 (age 5, reception) "Y has made excellent progress this year and has developed her skills in all areas of the curruculum. She has grown in confidence and is an asset to the class. She is helpful, considerate and polite towards her peers and adults alike. She makes every effort with all aspects of her work and always tries very hard. Y has also produced some wonderful drawings, she has been a pleasure to teach."
What more could any parent ask for? There was also reams of stuff in the vein of "she can describe the properties of many 3D shapes", "she can represent a piece of music through a series of different movements" etc, but to me the general comments are the bit that mean everything.
I feel very privileged to have such wonderful children. Hope you don't mind me posting this.
