We live in harrow, got an offer for Wycombe High. On waiting list for Dr Challoners high school. First list, they have come out till 8.2 miles we are 11.2 miles away from the school. Do we have a chance in the coming lists? Can anyone provide some experience please?

Stay one the waiting list if you really want the school. However, from what I can tell, the only year that alloctions came out that far was 2008.

Thanks MumTryingHerBest.
Do you think moving now will get us higher on the waiting list? Is this chance worth taking?

Have a look at the Bucks website on secondary transfer info. That is the only reliable info.

There will be waiting list move to up until the start of term, so yes it will help to move closer.

Bojorojo, perhaps, instead of labelling everyone’s posts as unreliable, it would be more helpful if you provided OP with a link to where they can find the historical wait list cut offs on the Bucks website?

You currently live out of catchment and not even in the same county. Moving will bump you up the list so long as the people above you are also outside of catchment. This is not information they will share with you though so a bit of a risk in my opinion!!!

Sorry - not up to links but quite frankly all this info is available from the LA! They know the history of offers and how it works if you move. Rather than asking random people on here, surely asking the LA Admissions team is the only reliable way to go. It is not difficult to do that. Any parent who has entered a child for the Bucks 11 plus is surely capable of that?
