The new 30hours free. How will it work if you do casual hours?

I understand that you need to be working for a minimum of 18hours to qualify. But what happens if you don't have a contract to prove this? If you're on a zero hours contract say? Or you temp? I work 3 days but on a casual basis. I need 3 days childcare to allow me to work but I also need to work to pay for it. The work is regular but not contracted. I'm just wondering how it will work for people not on an hourly contract. Can anyone help or point me in the direction of somewhere that explains what will happen in cases like mine. Thanks

As mrz says - it is earning at least 16 hours a week at minimum wage. So as long as you are reasonably expecting to get this then you can sign for it. obviously if you earn over minimum wage then that will be easier for you to do but at (roughly) three days a week you should be well over.
