Wimbledon common prep vs Rokeby

My son has offers from both Squirrels and Rokeby to join in Reception. I would like to hear from parents whose children go to either school to make a decision. Many thanks!

Not a parent, but have you thought about what you would do after squirrels? Can be hard to get into schools at 7+

The school I teach at does a 7+ entrance (as well as having a pre-prep) and we had to turn down children.

You would have to have an absolutely genius child to get into KCS at seven, as they can cherry pick the absolute best as they have so many applying.

Congratulations. Both lovely schools. You just need to decide if you want to do 7+ or not. Squirrels will prepare your son very well, and the top third or more do get into Kings. They aren't genius level but very bright. There are plenty of other schools that take boys at 7 but you may have to travel a bit further into Surrey. Choosing a prep doesn't preclude you from doing 7+ at all but the school will be less supportive and you will have to do the prep work with your son yourself/tutor.
