Hi, my son has really low school attendance due to an ongoing medical condition. Not once has work been sent home for him. I have requested 2 urgent meetings with his year head (by email and then written letter) buy have had no response. Makes me cross as they are quick enough to demand my attendance at meetings to discuss the problem. Do they HAVE to provide education whilst he is absent? Some people I speak to are convinced they should be providing a home tutor at this stage.
In all, over the past few years his attendance has been pretty scarce so he has missed a huge amount of schooling
