If you have an issue with the school can you take it higher than the head/governors?

If your council have a web site it might tell you a bit more about contacting them on there.
Hope you manage to sort out ant problems your having.

Our LEA have parent liaison workers who you can speak to in confidence, before making a complaint 'official'.

Yes, but I think the higher authority would have expected you to have tried to sort it out with the school first. E.g. teacher then headteacher then govs.
