Primary admissions rounds does it matter how soon you apply?

Primary admissions rounds has opened for my daughters age group to apply for a school place.

The deadline isn't until January but does the earlier you apply affect your chances of a place does anyone know?

I only ask as I'll be changing my name in a fortnights time I get married so thought it would be easier to wait until then to apply rather than fill in my details as my maiden name but if it has any bearing on your place in the line so to speak I wonder if I should do it now?

No , nothing happens until the deadline when all the applications are taken together.

No, all applications made before the deadline are treated equally.

Just don't forget to do it!

Brilliant, thanks to you both!

You can change your choices/details any time up until the deadline. There is no queue or preference given for applying early.
