Have just stumbled across these language clubs for children. Am desperate for DD to learn Spanish and wondered if anyone had any experience of them and the cost involved...?

Yes my Dd goes (aged 5) to spanish class, very good, highly recommend the one she goes to. Costs about 30 quid per term with a 9 quid joining fee IIRC.

i used to teach for Le Club Francais. I was amazed at how much the children could learn in half an hour or so. Go for it, you won't be wasting your money. Bonne chance!

3 out of four of my kids went to Club Francias and they learnt bugger all. I think it is a total waste of money.

If you want your child to learn spainish then use it at home and go to spain where they can use it.

DS1 did club francais forever adn when he finallly started learning french in year 5, it had made not the blind bit of difference - apart form to my purse strings!

I have looked at the video on the site and the thing that bothers me is the teacher is speaking in English. From my experience as a TEFL teacher in Spain I would have preferred no English to be spoken.

Can anyone recommend any other Spanish classes? We are north Manchester/ Blackburn/ Bolton way.

DS1 does club espanol, his teachers pretty much use spanish although this can be difficult given the age of the kids, he is 5 and this is his 3rd year, he knows miles more spanish than I do but he does get it from mil too.

DD goes to the french one - she seems to be learning quite a bit and loves it. £4 an hour.
