Yamaha music anyone done it?

Was just thinking about enrolling DD in Yamaha music school and wonder how it compares to "normal" piano lessons. Does anyone know about the course? Or how transferable it would be from keyboard to piano?

Not Yamaha but DS did the technics course which is similar, I felt it was a good start for beginners but changed to normal lessons at just after grade 1 (the technics teacher suggested this). Next DS has started with normal lessons with an excellent teacher but only does 15 mins which is plenty for a very young beginner.

With hindsight I would do one year max of group yamaha while looking for a decent other teacher

Thanks. We do have DD signed up for a local piano teacher, but she has a wait list. So this should be a good start then.
