although not taught for 3 or so years... will look at it for you. Still have all my resources...

Blandmum · 29/01/2007 08:02

Have done. It looks wonderful, very professional.

Hope it stays as nice and supportive as it is now. The Times Ed website can be a bit of a bear pit on times!

eidsvold · 29/01/2007 08:09

just been to the website - as mb said - looks great.

spykid · 29/01/2007 08:21

Will take a look

bump for bloss, because it is in the wee small hours for her!

(good site, btw)

hercules1 · 29/01/2007 19:33

What a good idea and site. How about emailing details to teacher training colleges?

popsycal · 29/01/2007 19:34

oooh have just registered - it looks great"
Well done

Blandmum · 29/01/2007 19:34

sounds like an excellnt idea

fizzbuzz · 29/01/2007 20:35

Had a look at site and interested, but no D&T section Why?

dingdongjustforyoufg · 29/01/2007 20:38

It is a great idea but v similar to the TES forums and the anti-tes

spudmasher · 29/01/2007 20:40

Very good, Bloss. We have some students in soon so I will recommend it to them. Well done. Good idea.

Blandmum · 29/01/2007 20:42

Bloss is in australia so possible people there wouldn't log on to the Times ed?

I also find the Times Ed site very adversarial

dingdongjustforyoufg · 29/01/2007 21:01

Agree about the tone of TES forums MB, I steer well clear myself - not sure if there is room for another one tho

Thank you for your reply Bloss........don't know how to say this, but D&T and Art are usually at war with each other...........

Well I teach D&T and Art, and am often caught in the crossfire!

However remember far back as uni, fine art and design were always at war with each other.

I prefer D&T as trained in design, and find I like items to have a function, rather than just decorative, also the 2 Pos are very different.

nikkie · 31/01/2007 18:42

I remember that assignment Bloss, did you get a response to the 'pie in the sky' comment?

Some of these assignments are such a load of arse.

I had a disagreement with my tutor because I said in an assignment on 'Why we should teach science?' that 'It is obvious that involves logical thought' She told me that by saying 'Obviouse' I was being unnecessarily argumantative. So I changed it to 'It is axiomatic that science involved logical thought'

She hated me after that I was a marked woman!

She was such an arse.
