What books does your 6-9 year old read? I need ideas.

My 6 year old son has read all the 16 Tashi books, soduku and the thousand paper cranes, roald dahl the magic finger.
I was planning to borrow captain underpants but not sure if it will make my son naughty.

I need ideas of what kind of chapter books to get.He likes the above kind of books. So something similar will be good.
What books does your 6-9 year old read? I need ideas.

Dd really loved How to Train Your Dragon. The books are much better than the films or TV series.
She also liked the Percy Jackson books.

Beast Quest. There are 96 of them so will def keep him busy! Young boy whose a knight who has to release beasts from an evil spell.

Mr Gum, Horrid Henry, Wimpy Kid and the Captain Underpants series have all been enjoyed by my DC at around that age.
My 8yo loves books by Pamela Butchart as well.

DS (7yo) reads Wimpy Kid, Tom Gates, Horrid Henry, Horrible History/Science and at the moment in particular Harry Potter. Captain Underpants used to be a favourite!

DS is currently reading the Skullduggery Pleasant series. I have no idea what they are about but he loves them. Diary of a Wimpy Kid is also popular as well as a huge collection of Tom Palmer books.
