i have a form to fill in and some things to think about BUT

i haven't done anyhting like this for over 10 years and then it was a case of choose a friend to appraise you.

Are you talking about the threshold? I did this a couple of years ago, or general appraisal?

just general appraisal, i think

sometimes they will give you a sheet with things they might like to discuss. how well you have done in for example...
(I work in SEN so things might be a bit different if you are in mainstream)

Pupil progress
Behaviour management
Targets you had previously and might want to have.
Training you have been on.
Strengths and weaknesses.
Relationships with other staff (for me my team of LSAs)
Your opinions/ ideas for school development plan (or whatever it is called now)

Above all think of it as an opportunity to chat about your work. I am always surprised at how positive they are.

I've never been CATed before how exciting
It's not got here yet...

one area is teaching & learning
one is pupil progress
I think one is professional development (?)
and the last is management, but that only applies if you have responsibilities.
And the targets need to be SMART (at least they do at my school)

So ... 50% of my year 7s will reach their target levels by Easter

this is frightening stuff ...can't say too much on here..but if anyone has more info, and i could put you a bit more in the picture could you email me please?
