Bolton school, boys division

Does anyone have any up to date info on Bolton school boys division ( mainly Seniors) . Have made telephone enquiries with them and read the website but don't know anyone in real life whose children have gone there. We have a few years before yr 7 but want to prepare ASAP. How soon did your DS start practising for entrance exam etc. Has it met expectations or has there been regrets. Thanks.

I used to do private tuition for a number of gcse and a level students from that school (and girls division too). Parents always seemed happy and kids seemed to really enjoy the school. Probably not the most helpful response as my own kids didn't go there but if we hadn't left the area I'd have considered it for my boys based on my experience.
